Artist's statement:
This was easily my most personal photo shoot to date.
Through the push/pull of a fiery relationship comes an array of intense emotions.
All you can do is take the leap, and hope that your companion awaits you at the bottom.
All you can do is trust you are not alone when the lines begin to blur.

Director's comments:
A lot of time was spent collaborating with this young artist about a new direction for her work, and this is the first result.
Hoogveld, already skilled as a portraitist of others, is now turning the camera on herself and her private, erotic dreams and desires are front and center.
This brand-new triptych panel photograph is like a widescreen movie with its movement, energy and simmering sexuality, and is the first in her new series "The Passions of Alicia".
I liken her remarkably new and revealing photographs to Larry Clark's documentaries of teenage lust, and Cindy Sherman's brilliant self-portraits.
Make no mistake, there's a brilliant new star on the horizon, and her name is Alicia Hoogveld.
