These two pieces constitute a conceptual art work utilizing twophotographs in a diptych to illustrate the careerof Fidel Castro spanning the years 1959 to 2008. In both photographs, Castro is portrayed by Rudolph Montanez, the artist.

The pieces were executed 25 years apart. "Dictator Dictating Dictation" portrays Castro as the new messiah.

"El Ultimo Saludo" ends with Castro taking his baby home.
