A rare and beautiful Clifford Johnson original tempera on paper work from 1948, measuring 11.5" X 9". This harrowing subject , dark and dirty factory workers emerging from a factory, depicts a dark view of mankind. Johnson did very few color works during his 60 year career as a master NYC artist.
